Battle Creek Rd, Carlisle to Five Point (Carmel Township): Paving along the newly constructed curb and gutter is expected to begin Thursday or Friday of this week (7/25 or 7/26). Milling the existing asphalt is scheduled to begin next Tuesday (7/30). Paving should follow shortly after. The entire project is still on schedule to be complete and open to traffic by August 16.
Five Point Hwy, Young to Battle Creek (Kalamo & Carmel Townships): Equipment failures have delayed the crushing operation. The pulverizing is scheduled to continue today (7/24) or Thursday (7/25). After the road is pulverized, graded and compacted, Five Point Hwy will be paved.
Otto Rd, Packard to Lansing (Eaton Township): Gravel has been placed over the existing pavement to prepare for crushing & shaping. After the crushing operation is complete on Five Point, the pulverizer will move to Otto Rd to begin crushing that pavement to prepare the road for paving. Otto Rd will remain closed to through traffic until paving is complete and shoulders have been placed.
St. Joe Hwy, Mulliken to Boyer and Fees to Oneida (Roxand & Oneida Townships): Gravel has been placed over the existing pavement to prepare for crushing and shaping. After the crushing operation is complete on Otto Rd, the pulverizer will move to St. Joe Hwy to continue the crushing & shaping operation. St. Joe Hwy will remain closed to through traffic until paving is complete and shoulders have been placed. Dust control is planned to help minimize dust from the new gravel.
Cochran Rd, Bellevue to Baseline (Brookfield Township): Paving should now be finished. Shoulders and final restoration is expected to be complete within a week. Other than final pavement markings, Cochran Rd should be complete and open to traffic before August 1.
