The Eaton County Road Commission is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full time Accounting Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions, with a primary focus on accounts payable and payroll. This role entails managing financial records, preparing reports, timely payments and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. We offer a competitive salary within the range of $50,206.19 to $65,269.04 annually, comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement, and paid time off and a supportive, team-oriented work environment.

Duties include but not necessarily limited to – sweeping, shoveling, lifting objects weighing upward to 80lbs, walking/standing long periods of time in all types of weather, cleaning, pruning of brush, grass mowing, patching asphalt, concrete, gravel and other roadway surfaces, using rakes, shovels, trimmers and other hand tools and placing/moving/pickup of signs, barricades, and traffic control work.
Requirements: Must be 18 or older at time of hire. Valid Michigan driver’s license with good driving record. No CDL required. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education preparation. Successful applicants will need to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
